Meet your 2025 Insight AFL Team!

Ladies and Gentlemen, for those that have the team picker with the Gold Subscription to the Herald Sun, you'll have no doubt made your team, changed it a hundred times, tried to fit players in, took them out etc.

We're all hungry for the AFL season to kick off! And with AFL Pre-Season heating up and practice matches only 6 weeks away, what better time to introduce you to the team that's going to be bringing you the very best content in the SuperCoach World.

Now, you all know about Squiddy and Horse. Being mates for years, these two love talking footy. With Squiddy introducing our very own Cone of the Week last year, his popularity in the social media world took off. Squiddy has been working pretty hard behind the scenes to continue to bring you the best in gags, but also some spot on SC content you're not going to want to miss.

Now, for those that were subscribers last year, you know that we spoke about making our podcast better, with more analytics and professional opinions. Horse and Squid have gone out and assembled a very impressive team that will help us achieve success in this year's AFL SuperCoach season!

SILVERTOP HURLEY

Our first person to be introduced is Silvertop Hurley. Hurls was at the pointy end of the rankings last season, being ranked inside the top 50 for the majority of the season until injuries struck late and finished just outside the top 200. Hurl's unique view on the game, backed with his knowledge of football and data will be an asset to us. Can't wait to see the man in action!

DEADLY

What's not to like about this man? Deadly, as you all know was an avid watcher, listener and even travelled from Sydney, along with IJ when we had our end of year function at the MCG. Deadly has been working tirelessly on spreadsheets, positional analysis, ruck data and even dipped his toes in our BBL commentary this year. His passion for sports is exactly what we love and I think you'll be pleasantly surprised with the analytics this man has done in the Pre-Season.

NERDS4LIFE

Our man Pete! Pete joined us for a couple of Podcasts last year and really fits in with the good bloke/footy lover type of persona that we value here at Insight AFL. Pete has history in the sports industry, as witnessed by his very popular social media pages (NERDS4LIFE - If you haven't already liked his page please do so as his Pre-Season content is un-matched). Pete finished inside the top 2% last year and is keen to get stuck into the year with us.

The last podcast with Squiddy, I let slip who our next inclusion is, but for those of you that didn't listen in, I present to you.....

DOCTOR INSIGHT

I'm very proud to be able to bring this man in. For a period of time, this man was the writer for Doctor SuperCoach, which was one of, if not the most popular of SuperCoach sites in Australia before he decided to take a break. The Doc is a keen Hawks supporter and loves to throw the banter around. Given his history and knowledge in the SuperCoach world, he'll be a great asset to us for the year ahead.

Let's not forget our man "Golden Tonsils", Phil Whitehead, is all over everything Sydney and GWS. Phil loves the banter but more so, is spot on with all news coming out of Sydney. We're thrilled to have the man continue to provide us updates from NSW for the year 2025. The voice notes are something for us to look forward if you haven't already had the chance to listen in.

Our man Kizza will also be continuing to run our punters club. The guys and girls in there are very inclusive. We only recommend that you "Bet within your means" and "Lachie Bramble (Gamble) Responsibly"

We can't wait to get into the content for you. Looking forward to the season ahead!
