Adelaide Crows - SuperCoach Relevance

In the lead up to the Team Picker being open for all AFL SC users, the lads here at Insight AFL are putting together a run down of each team and how they've faired previously for our SuperCoach teams.

To start us off, are the Adelaide crows. The Crows took a big leap forward last year bit for SC and in terms of ladder positioning. We've got the rundown as to how well they faired and what to expect for Season 2026.

SuperCoach Points For:

SC points for = 1737 (1st)

Average 100s scored = 5.5

Average 120s scored = 1.7

SuperCoach Points Against:

SC points against = 1563 (1st hardest)

Average 100s conceded = 3.2

Average 120s conceded = 1.3

2025 Highest Center Bounce Attendances:

Reilly O’Brien 86%

Jordan Dawson 75%

Jake Soligo 62%

Sam Berry 55%

• Adelaide changed their CBA mix in the second half of the year as they used Rankine less and Berry and Peatling more.

• Given their straight sets finals exit seemed to have them exposed in the midfield, you would think they might go back to Rankine and even try a few others like Draper, Rachele or Curtin.

• O’Brien continues to carry the ruck load and Dawson is captain reliable but the M3-5 seem less clear. Do they back Soligo to continue to improve or do they lose faith after an underwhelming finals series?

• There has to be a spot for Sid Draper when fit, although track watchers pre Christmas suggest he is still not at full fitness which is a worry.

Kick Ins 2025:

Mark Keane 33%

Josh Worrell 23%

Mitch Hinge 16%

• Surprised to see Keane take so many kick ins given the kicking skills of both Worrell and Hinge

• 2026 would probably be similar you would imagine, but a spike for Worrell could be interesting.

• Play on percentages for all were 83% plus so that is a good sign for whoever does take the kick ins.

2026 Fixture:

Play twice:

Geelong (3rd), Western Bulldogs (6th), Collingwood (8th), Fremantle(11th), Port Adelaide (15th) and Richmond (17th)

*Rankings are based on avg points against in 2025

• Adelaide’s fixture from an SC perspective is very very friendly. They only play one of the hardest 5 teams twice based on last years average points against. For the highest scoring SC team, that is very attractive.

Byes:

Round 12

• They also only have one bye in round 12 although it is shared with Good Coast, North Melbourne and Port Adelaide, who also have some popular SC picks.

Projected Top Scorer from each line:

DEF: Rory Laird Def $559,000

• Rory is coming to the twilight of his career but last year he moved back to defence and showed he is still a SC gun with an average of 103. Another year older and priced up to his output, probably means he will be a POD if you want to go there.

MID: Jordan Dawson Mid $611,300

• The skipper is reliable and always a popular SC pick. He is priced right up to his average of 113 from 2025 so it will be interesting if coaches select him early for the friendly fixture as a set and forget keeper, or if it might pay to wait until the inevitable price drop comes.

RUCK: Reilly O’Brien Ruck $524,200

• ROB is always consistent but his ceiling scores are very few and far between so I doubt he is very SC relevant

FWD: Riley Thilthorpe Fwd $525,400

• Riley was Adelaide’s 2nd highest forward in 2025 (by averages) behind Izak Rankine. But outscored him in total points playing one extra game. It will likely be a tossup between the two again in 2026 but perhaps the ruck rules and the continued improvement in the Thriller give him the nod just.

Mid Price Madness:

Ben Keays Fwd $451,300

• No one is paying $450k for Ben Keays but he is a crowd favourite here at Insight and no midpricers really stand out so Keaysus getting a mention just seems fair. However, if, like last year he drops to under $300K, then he might be a nice loop option off your bench if things start to get grim.

Rookies:

Sid Draper Fwd / Mid $126,100

• There is surely a spot in Adelaide’s midfield for Sid. The only issue might be can he get his body right?

Lachlan McAndrew Ruck $119,900

• If ROB was to go down injured, McAndrew looks the likely replacement, although you could argue Thilthorpe might just ruck and they shuffle the deck chairs around.

Others to keep an eye on :

• Mitchell Marsh Fwd $113,500, Archie Ludowyke Fwd $113,500, Charlie Edwards Def / Mid $119,900

Next up we'll have the Brisbane Lions. We promise that Squiddy won't have a say when we start talking about Choccies Neale..... Or do we? Haha!
