Relevant injury news
Brock Bowers - Owners who missed this news, and had Isiah Likely were blessed with a 47 point AE score. Sometimes its better to be lucky than good. Listed as day to day, but given his injury history hard to see him being rushed back.
TreyVeyon Henderson - Monday reports suggest he will be reporting for committee RB duty this weekend for a disappointing week 1 Patriots outfit.
Zay Flowers - Lamar’s receiving stocks take another blow, although still listed as day to day. One to watch on the Thursday INJ report
Ladd McConkey - Scans to confirm damage. Potential to miss time. Spewing.
Brian Thomas - Sounds like he will play in week 2
Kyler Murray - Concussion. JJ owners will be happy if he misses week 2 and gun slinger Wentz is the QB1 for the potential shoot out with the Bears
AJ Brown - Expected to miss at least 4 weeks. Trade time for owners.
DeZhaun Stribling - Updated today and expected to miss a month. Do we trade now, or watch for another week for a replacement to stand out??
Quarterbacks | Top 10 owned
1. Mendozzzzza - DNP - no ranking
2. Josh Allen - 70 points - 2nd
3. Lamar Jackson - 49 points equal 6th
4. Deshaun Watson - 29 points - 21st
5. Joe Burrow - 30 points - 20th
6. Carson Beck - DNP no ranking
7. Matthew Stafford - 10 points - 32nd
8. Drake Maye - 25 points - 23rd
9. Caleb Williams - 74 points - 1st
10. Malik Willis - 34 points - 14th
Josh Allen is not owned by 54% of teams. Thats a problem for those 54% of Supercoach’s. Depending on who you have as QB in flex, you might need to find a way to get him in with a QB downgrade. Bryce Young at 18 million with a 64 point score might be the way to do this, if you own one of these guys in the list above.
I have Herbert as my flex. Despite his underwhelming start to the year (27 points for 22nd ranking), I am staying the course, for now. I have other problems I need to fix. Cue the WR position -
Wide Receivers | Top 10 owned
1. Justin Jefferson - 54 points - 3rd
2. Carnell Tate - 11 points - 56th
3. Ja’Marr Chase - 4 points - 86th
4. JSN - 44 points - 7th
5. Makai Lemon - 2 points - 96th
6. Puka - 19 points - 27th
7. KC Concepcion - 11 points - 54th
8. St Brown - 47 points - 4th
9. Stribling - 0 points - no ranking
10. CeeDee Lamb - 25 points - 18th
I am in the very unenvious position of owning 3 x WR that appear on the injury report, AJ Brown, Stribling, and Ladd. I downgraded Chase Brown to Hampton to allow me a Brown to Olave trade (46 points and 6th overall), but not sure what to do with Ladd and Stribling.
The rookie class was as expected, and underwhelming in week 1. There is no obvious replacement for Stribling this week, so he might get a stay of execution in my team.
Jalen Coker at 0.4 owned, scored the second most WR points with 59. Worth noting he had 9 targets compared to the 8 targets that the consensus WR1 McMillan had. I would be watching this another week before pulling the trigger on bringing him in.
Watch Chase bounce back with a 50 point SC outing this week.
Watson (59 points, 2.1% owned), DJ Moore (37 points, 7.8% owned) and Parker Washington (33 points, 5.9% owned), lead the mid range priced WR in the top 10 scores. All guys I would like to see again before making a call on whether to bring them in.
I dont know what I am doing with McConkey. A problem myself and 13.8% of Supercoach’s have.
Running Backs | Top 10 owned
1. Jeremiyah Love - 23 points - 21st
2. Gibbs - 62 points - 4th
3. Price - 13 points - 35th
4. Robinson - 54 points - 6th
5. Walker III - 64 points - 2nd
6. Tuten - 18 points - 26th
7. Barkley - 17 points - 27th
8. CMC - 22 points - 22nd
9. Brooks - 12 points - 37th
10. Lloyd - 7 points - 46th
Jeremiyah Love led the rookie RB’s as expected, and might be the only rookie that is going to make money fast at this stage.
De’Andre Swift is the one to watch here. Priced at 16.8 million, his 63 points was good for 3rd overall. The Bears did run the ball 39 times though, and Monangai had 100 yards and a TD (a 61 yard TD run admittedly), and Caleb Williams will always be a threat to steal carries and TD’s in the high powered offense of the Bears.
David Montgomery at 11 million is interesting. He wont get the Bills defense each week, but 3 total TD’s on 23 touches is nice volume. Those rush attempts could go up, as the Texans wont win many games if Stroud has to throw the ball 38 times.
Derrick Henry continues to defy father time, and led RB’s with 68 points. This will be the healthiest he will be all season, so for the 7% of owners, enjoy the ride whilst its still on 2 wheels.
Tight Ends | Top 10 owned
1. Isiah Likely 47 points - 1st overall
2. Colston Loveland - 0 points - no ranking
3. Kenyon Sadiq - 19 points - 12th
4. Brock Bowers - 0 points - no ranking
5. Tyler Warren - 17 points - equal 14th
6. Trey McBride - 40 points - 2nd
7. Sam LaPorta - 14 points - 18th
8. Kyle Pitts Snr - 0 points - no ranking
9. Mark Andrews 13 points - 19th
10. Tucker Kraft - 16 points - 16th
Loveland is the story here. Despite no SC points, and only 2 targets in a game where the Bears scored 59 points (it still counts even against the hapless Panthers), he did play 87% of snaps and ran 35 routes. The Bears wont rush for 291 yards every week either. As an owner, I want to see one more week before I think about moving him on. Patience. The toughest word to listen to in Supercoach NFL.
The same can be said about Isiah Likely. 8 catches on 8 targets for 78 yards and 2 x TD’s. If you own already happy days, if you don’t wait one more week. Nabers led the Giants with 9 targets, and will be better for the run back from injury. Health will be the issue for the Giants, but if they can all stay on the field, there is going to be a lot of Supercoach points out of this offense led by Dart.
Trey McBride justified his spot as the highest priced TE, with a godly 13 targets producing 9 catches, 95 yards and a TD, in the upset win over the Chargers.
Goedert (2.1% owned), Mike Gesicki (0.4% owned), Dalton Kincaid (1.7% owned), Freiermuth (0.5% owned), Juwan Johnson (temu JJ anyone, 1.1% owned, Engram (0.5% owned), Hockenson (0.8% owned) and Noah Fant (0.9% owned), all scored in the top 10 this week, proving how much of a lottery the TE position is, with only Kincaid a serious consideration for week 1 teams.
Kickers | Top 10 owned
1. Trey Smack - 26 points - 5th
2. Brandon Aubrey - 4 points - 30th
3. Matsuzawa - 0 points - No ranking
4. Tyler Bass - 26 points - 5th
5. Cameron Dicker - 4 points - 30th
6. Drew Stevens - 12 points - 22nd
7. Tyler Loop - 28 points - 4th
8. Jason Meyers - 14 points - 17th
9. Cam Little - 24 points - 7th
10. Kaimi Fairbairn - 18 points - 13th
Unless you own Matsuzawa, you shouldnt be thinking about any trades in the K position. The top 3 scorers in the position this week were owned by 0.7%, 0.2% and 0.3% (McPherson, Ryland and Sanders for those still reading). Stay the course on your K plan. Trey Smack might be the biggest rookie cash cow of the early season, if you dont have him, thats the trade for Matsuzawa.
DST | Top 10 owned
1 Cowboys - 6 points - 23rd
2. Rams - 4 points - 24th
3. Texans - minus 4 points - 32nd
4. Seahawks - 26 points - 2nd
5. Ravens - 12 points - 15th
6. 49ers - 16 points = 10th
7. Packers - 2 points - 27th
8. Broncos - 6 points = 19th
9. Jets - 18 points - 9th
10. Bengals - 24 points - 5th
Another position where I am loathe to use any trades unless absolutely necessary, despite owning the Cowboys and the Texans DST, I will be leaving them for at least another week. Ill be watching Steelers and Jaguars this week though. Chiefs another one to watch.
If the Raiders, Bengals, Lions and Cardinals DST all end up in the top 10 again this week, a deletion of the app will be considered.
