Tough week for the 4th and 4 inches, 476 points with Gibbs as captain. I had Davonta Smith, Stribling and Jefferson unavailable, so traded JJ to Bowers via FLEX, and might be the only Supercoach running a 3 x TE team at the moment. This tactic, I would understand if you decided to stop reading the rest of this report.

I did save a trade though, and had a small increase of $17 million in squad value, so ill take the wins where I can get them.

Where to begin???

CLICK THE LINK to petition NRL Physio to take on the role of NFL Physio during the NRL off season (spoiler alert, there is no link). There is so much SC relevant injuries going on, its almost impossible to keep up. On top of the injury chaos, we also go into the BYE period of the NFL draw, where they distribute 32 BYES over 9 weeks. Looking at it in a 3 week block -

Week 5 - Panthers, Chiefs

Week 6 - Bengals, Lions, Dolphins, Vikings

Week 7 - Bills, Jaguars, Chargers, Commanders

If you are tossing up between which players to trade in or out, these BYE teams might help make your decision easier. Ja’Marr Chase is the classic example of do we cut ties this week, and look for a return to squads in week 7 and beyond?

Not even sure where to start on the injury report, but will give it a try -

Saquon Barkley - Patient owners who held, will be disappointed. Projected return week 6-8. Very vague, but whats not vague is the Eagles offense is in disarray with or without Saquon.

Ja’Marr Chase - Concussion. Early reports are varied, could play week 5. Could also miss. With many headaches (no pun intended) in the WR position, this will be an anxious wait for owners.

Tee Higgins - The logical beneficiary of a Ja’Marr absence is dealing with an abductor strain, and not expected back until week 6.

Lamar Jackson - Left the stadium in a moon boot, but again, reports suggesting he could play in week 5. The good news for owners, Ravens play Thursday night against the Falcons, so we will know early. The bad news, Lamar is playing first game of the week, limiting the healing time.

Devonta Smith - Tough for the 19% of owners, being a late scratching with a hamstring. At best, very questionable for a week 5 return.

DJ Moore - Re-aggravated his AC joint sprain, and with a week 7 bye, the Bills might wrap him up in cotton wool until then.

Justin Jefferson - Those that held will be in for an anxious wait as well. I moved him on late Sunday night (For Brock Bowers, but thats a story for another day).

Jadarian Price - Officially placed on IR, but Seahawks saying its not season ending.

Jeremiyah Love - I don’t know how many times I need to write his first name before google tries to correct its spelling, but the Love man, is dealing with an ankle injury, and is listed as questionable. 5th most owned player, so if you can leave him as a NPR, deal with this potential problem next week.

TOP SCORES FOR WEEK 4

1. Tetairoa McMillan - 76 points - It would seem when the rush to the Panthers players two weeks ago in Chuba, Coker and Bryce Young, there should have been a 4th member of the surprise of the season Panthers trade list. McMillan should be the most traded in player in week 6. BYE THIS WEEK.

2. CeeDee Lamb - 65 points - Dak is playing at MVP level, and CeeDee is the major beneficiary. Is he the #2 WR behind JSN for rest of the season? Me thinks so.

3. Kyren Williams - 63 points - Where did this come from? Signs of life for the Rams, finally.

4. Kenneth Walker III - Whilst Gibbs and Robinson are the consensus 1A and 1B for Supercoach RB purposes, third of his name is doing his best to make himself 1C. With the BYE this week, it still isnt too late to bring him in next week.

5. Javonte Williams - 57 points -

6. Bijan Robinson - 54 points - Monday night MVP saved a lot of teams.

7. Nico Collins - 54 points - We are so back.

8. Kyle Monangai - 54 points - 30 rushes for 146 yards and 2 x TD’s? Shout out to me who had this man on my bench in my Sleeper league.

9. Drake Maye - 53 points - Drake Maybe is dead. Or is he?

10. Joe Burrow - 51 points - Smokin Joe, can he be the second best QB for the season?

11. Tyquan Thornton - 51 points - How was him getting up after that dislocation. Season over. Is it Tyreek Hill season now??

12. Chuba Hubbard - 50 points - Has rewarded those that brought him in with $5.1 million price rise. Has a minus 7 BE, but on the BYE this week. If you can hold him, you should.

13. Emmanuel Wilson - 50 points - Awkwardly priced at $9.4 million, after $1.8 million price rise. Minus 7 BE, and Charbonnet still another week away, could you do it? I couldnt.

14. Brian Robinson Jr - 50 points - If you were only keeping an eye on a gamecast (ESPN to be specific), you could have been forgiven for thinking Bijan had a 5 x TD outing, but the other B Robinson was responsible for 3 of these. Don’t be fooled by his BE though, he is not the B Robinson from the Falcons you want or need.

15. Aaron Rodgers - 47 points - Broken clock is right twice a day.

OTHER SCORES OF NOTE

Puka - 46 points - Finally, signs of life for the patient owners

Malik Nabers - 40 points - Still in 16% of teams somehow

Brock Bowers - 35 points - Saved by a garbage time TD, for the king of garbage time TD’s Kirk

Cousins, B squared still had 11 targets, and is going to be fed the rest of the season.

Carnell Tate - 34 points - A friendly reminder to not move early on potential cash cows.

Ollie Gordon - 34 points - He was a stay away for me but to score this against the Vikings Defense, I have my eye on him for a Jadarian Price swap.

Jahmyr Gibbs - 31 points - How did this happen? Lions looked awful against the Panthers, and Gibbs could never get going. Disappointing outing for those, myself included, who captained him after the Josh Allen VC loop didn’t play out.

Isaiah Likely - 20 points - Almost limps his way to his 21 BE. The Likely v Sadiq battle takes another twist, with Sadiq registering a DNP, despite indeed playing and catching zero of his 4 targets. A back injury apparently, so it might be advantage Likely now as the TE you want on your roster for the short term.

THE TOO EARLY WEEK 5 TRADE TARGETS

Darius Cooper - Sexy BE of minus 32, but this Eagles offense is a rabble.

Ollie Gordon III - The week 6 BYE is awkwardly placed, especially with Lions and Bengals sharing that BYE week. The question would be who are you trading out for him?

Ryan Miller - See above for Ollie Gordon

With all the injuries, its going to be a tough week to save a trade or two, but I think thats the aim this week. You are going to need to use 2 a week through the BYE schedule, with the possible exceptions of week 9 (Steelers & Titans) and week 14 ( Cardinals & Cowboys), who like week 5, only have 2 teams on the BYE.

Looking at my team, without trades, I can just get to a full squad, if Love and Chase play. Saving trades this week might be a pipe dream. Maybe that should be save your trades for injuries.

Probably didnt help much, to the NBA pre season games I now march.

Over.
